Flounder (Platichthys flesus flesus) living at sea bottom reflects the pollution of sediments better than other fish. Large specimens (530-700 g) were selected for study. Indeed, the flounder's fat contained elevated levels of PCDFs, which could indicate sediments pollution by PCBs.
